Progress of study
Students are expected to achieve satisfactory academic progress and maintain the level of required participation/attendance. Students should seek to immediately address any issues by discussing matters with the teacher and/or the institute student support officer.
Where students fail to make satisfactory progress, written notification to this effect may be issued by the institute. The student may be required to show cause in writing at a stated reasonable time (not less than 14 days after the notice is given to the student) to the Institute Director (or delegated officer) stating reasons why they should not be penalised according to one or more of the following:
-
Subsequent enrolment may be restricted to a limited program of competencies, in which any failure at the next attempt may lead to a refusal of further enrolment in those competencies (if the competencies involved are mandatory for the completion of a program, refusal of further enrolment in the program may result).
-
Further enrolment in the competencies or program concerned may be refused outright.
-
Further enrolment in any competencies or program offered by the institute may be refused outright.
