Indigenous student support

The Indigenous Education and Training Unit supports Indigenous community groups, offering guidance to identify educational requirements and assist with training towards community based project work.

Many of our students have successfully overcome the boundaries of a limited educational background, to achieve Year 10 standard qualifications. This level of education provides a platform to pursue further skills and qualifications that will equip students for the workforce, and in preparation for TAFE or university.

The unit relies on the services and expertise of a Training Coordinator, Indigenous Training Support Officer and a part-time Indigenous Student Support Officer. Through encouragement and the benefit of a strong support network, we envisage a brighter horizon for the future of our students.
