How to use the TAFE catalogue
Search
To begin searching the webopac enter the words you are looking for in the search words box and select start search or press the enter key. You may search using one of five options. Use words that are unique to your topic and use an '&' between words.
Search tips

Capitalisation, punctuation and word order are not relevant.

Common words such such as; the, it, as, etc are ignored.
Interpreting results
Your search results will display the total number of results with the first five displayed by default showing author, title and year.
Item location and availability
Once you have selected a record from your results list you will be provided with the item location (eg. Mount Isa or Normanton, etc) as well as the call number and the status of the item (eg. on shelf, on loan, reference item, etc). If you find an item that is on loan, please contact the library to see if it possible to place a reserve on this item.
