Whilst the main campus of the Institute is situated in Mount Isa, there are service centres located at Normanton (Lower Gulf) and Cloncurry.
Mount Isa Institute of TAFE is a division of the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts and employs staff under Queensland Public Service conditions and agreements. Educational staff are employed under the TAFE Teachers' Award - State.
